We welcome collaborations across audiology, digital health, data science, and public health. Whether you are a prospective student, a researcher, or an industry partner — there is a place for you in the Virtual Hearing Lab.
We supervise students across audiology, consumer health informatics, digital health, and mHealth research. Projects are available at both the University of Pretoria and the University of Colorado. Candidates with backgrounds in hearing sciences, public health, or data science are encouraged to get in touch.
We collaborate with researchers across audiology, linguistics, informatics, engineering, and medicine. If you have a shared research interest or a complementary dataset, we would like to hear from you. We are especially interested in international partnerships focused on low- and middle-income settings.
Our current partners include hearX Group, Sonova, Lexie Hearing, and Hearing Tracker. We offer independent academic evaluation of hearing technologies, consumer insights research, and collaborative grant-funded projects. We are open to new partnerships that advance accessible hearing care.
